I am a former public school teacher, now homeschool teacher, with a love of children's literature and the outdoors. I hold a Master's degree in Education from the University of Minnesota, but some of my favorite lessons have begun with something much simpler - a good book. I created Treehouse Teacher from a belief in the lasting value of stories filled with rich language, memorable characters, meaningful lessons, and plenty of room for wonder. Here, I share classic children's literature that has stood the test of time - stories that invite children to listen closely and grow in wisdom and character. The real treehouse seemed like the perfect place to bring those things together: good books, the beauty of the outdoors, and an unhurried place to simply enjoy a story.
